About Me
Frank Bunner, LMFT Counselor
I received a Master of Marriage and Family degree from Trevecca Nazarene University in 2011. Prior to this I worked in various Christian ministry settings for approximately 18 years. Most of this early season of adult life was spent overseas in West Africa. My participation in the struggles of others both on foreign soil and in the local community fueled a desire to intervene in more helpful ways and initiate spaces for healing that I had also experienced.
Since 2011, I have worked with a diverse clientele that includes: at risk adolescents, college students, military individuals and their families, and distressed couples. In 2019, I joined the Red Therapy Group to seek advanced training in Emotionally Focused Therapy. I am personally influenced by a Christian faith and worldview, however I do not unethically use the therapeutic setting to influence clients’ beliefs or values.
I am a continual learner and truly enjoy delving into both the science and art of helping others move toward healing and change. Outside of this work, I look for opportunities to build community with others, spend time backpacking, camping, and connecting with my family.
